A Biochemist is responsible for planning complex research projects, designing relevant experiments and developing studies to improve research and experimentation. They are often tasked with designing studies and experiments that research the effects of drugs, hormones or nutrients on a particular biological organism.
The reason why I am so interested in this career is because I am Interested in a medical and scientific field. Working with biological things, such as humans, and the side affects of drugs, hormones etc., work up my curiosity. I am curious about living things, particularly, mammals.
Skills like:-Analytical Thinking-Communication skills-Critical-thinking skills-Interpersonal skills-Perseverance-Problem-solving skills-etc. are required to become a biochemist
Also, to qualify for a job as a biochemist you'll also need: A Doctoral or Professional Degree
Many careers in the biological sciences, especially in research or academia, require a doctoral degree, so a bachelor's degree in a relevant science major is a necessary foundation for an aspiring biochemist. Schools offer concentrations in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry and biology.
