Despite his best efforts to improve his working conditions, however, the Jewish man and his community had a hard time getting president Roosevelt to fix anything. He was more concerned with other democratic reforms.
Well, it seems that America wasn't quite the freedom-filled land that these three were expecting it to be. Perhaps it can improve in the future, though.
