  • Act I - The Duenna visits Cyrano
  • My God! Me?
  • Someone would like to speak with you in private tomorrow morning.
  • Act II - Roxane speaks with Cyrano
  • Handsome!
  • He's witty, noble, proud, fearless, young, handsome...
  • Act III - Christian marries Roxane
  • They've exchanged the rings.
  • A lovely couple. Thanks to you, my son.
  • Roxane's Duenna meets Cyrano and tells him Roxane would like to meet in private. He is surprised and excited. This leads to how Roxane describes her lover.
  • Act IV - Christian is killed
  • I have 2 things to avenge now: Christian and my happiness.
  • Roxane is describing her lover in private as she bandages Cyrano's hand. Cyrano believes she is talking about him until he hears that her lover is also handsome. He knows it is not him.
  • Act V - Cyrano dies
  • One thing will not be taken from me: my panache.
  • Roxane and Christian are secretly married by a monk. Cyrano wants to protect them by making a fool of himself in front of De Guiche. After Roxane and Christian are married, Christian is called to war.

  • Christian is struck by a bullet and dies. Roxane is right at his side and is very upset. Cyrano tells Christian how Roxane knew Cyrano wrote the letters but does not care and still loves him. This allows Christian to die happy.
  • 15 years later, Cyrano is hit in the head with a large piece of wood while walking. He is severely injured. He then meets Roxane and asks to see Christian's last letter. It is too dark to see but Cyrano remembers the letter by heart. Roxane realizes Cyrano wrote the letters. As Cyrano dies, she tells him how she loves him and Cyrano describes how he's lost everything but his panache.
