  • We are now in the inner core. Hold on tight as we go for a spin. It is about 2,400 kilometers thick. The temperature in the core is about 4,982 degrees and 7,204 degrees Celsius. The inner core can spin faster and can cause the magnetic field. As we leave the inner core to go to the final destination...the outer core!
  •   Hi everybody my name is John, your tour guide for the day. I am here to take you on an excursion in  the 4 parts of the Earth. The first part of the Earth we are going to talk about is the crust. The crust is the part of the Earth that all living organism that live or exist. It is about 8 kilometers thick in the ocean bed which is called the oceanic crust. Oceanic crust is mostly made up of basalt rock. Hold on tight as we leave the crust!
  • We are now on the Mantle .The Mantle is about 2,900 kilometers thick and makes up about 85% of Earth’s weight.Be careful not to burn yourself as it is hot enough that minerals and iron can be melted. The movement of all of the rocks makes the crust turn into plates and the rocks then rise. Watch out!
  • It’s about to get bumpy as we enter the inner core! It is about 2,400 kilometers thick. The temperature in the core is about 4,982 degrees and 7,204 degrees Celsius. The inner core can spin faster and can cause the magnetic field. I hope your mind is not exhausted as we reach our last destination…the outer core! It is made out of Iron, Nickle, Sulfur, and Oxygen. The liquid layer of Nickle and Iron is 5,100 kilometers deep.  On to the next excursion!
