  • The Rock Cycle
  • Now I am a igneous rock!
  • Hello, I am Bryan and I am here today to tell you about rocks. When magma erupts from a volcano, lava comes out pouring down the volcano. Then it cools, which eventually turns into a igneous rock.*Fun Fact: The slower the lava cools, the more the crystals grow.*
  • When a igneous rock is goes through weathering and erosion, it turns into sediments. These sediments are deposited in layers with moisture, this is called cementation. Also it needs pressure to make sedimentary rocks, this is called compaction.
  • Now I am a slick sedimentary rock!
  • Sedimentary rocks need heat and pressure to become metamorphic rocks. The Metamorphic rocks could either melt to become magma, stay the same, and go through weathering and erosion. For an example, sedimentary rocks like Sandstone could turn into Quartzite.

  • HEAT
  • Metamorphic rocks are magnificent.
  • A Gem is a precious or semiprecious stone, especially when cut and polished or engraved. For an example, Diamond is a gem.
  • An Ore is a naturally occurring solid material from which a metal or valuable mineral can be profitably extracted. For an example, Gold is an ore.
