Storyboard Text

  • Eurystheus sent Hercules and Abdera to steal "The Mares of Diomedes," also known as "Mares of Thrace."
  • When they arrived Hercules and Diomedes fought over the mares. While Abdera stood by and watched them.
  • Hercules and Abdera had no idea the mares had a special diet. There was no warning that they craved human flesh.
  • Abdera was devoured by the mares in seconds. While during that Diomedes was defeated by Hercules.
  • Hercules put two and two together, and was filled with rage. He then fed the body of Diomedes to his new mares.
  • When Hercules returned to Eurystheus with the mares, Eurystheus set them free and they were later killed by wild beast in the forest.
