A New Invention
Let's Make something that moves from the power of steam!
How It Works
What It Is Used For
Inventors, George Stephenson and Richard Trevithick, engineered and manufactured the Steam Powered Engine.
The steam powered engine rely's on coal, as its main power supply. The coal burns as fuel to boil water in the boiler, which moves up to the steam shaft, which then gets pushed into a piston chamber. The pressure causes the piston to move.
The Steam Powered Engine, was used to transport goods, people, and cattle across the transcontinental railroad, running across the country.
