  • Injury / Hemostasis Phase
  • Inflammation Inflammation Phase
  • Repair Phase
  • The Hemostasis phase is a natural process that stops blood when an injury occurs. This phase acts as platelets which are like microscopic circulating band-aids.
  • The Inflammation phase is when damaged cells, pathogens, and bacteria are removed from the wound area. This stage is the body's natural response to the injury. Inflammation is like a chemical storm in which special chemicals that signal the immune system are released at the site of infection.
  • The repair phase is the complete restoration of healthy function to the injured area, and may take as long as 7 - 21 days after your injury. This process is like renovating a broken house. Once the bacteria (trash) is all out, construction workers and carpenters can start working on fixing it up.
