Storyboard Text

  • Cotton seeds are sown, irrigated and grown for the fluffy balls they produce. This is mainly found in USA, China or India.
  • They are harvested by self-driving machines, carefully removing the puffs they produce. A machine seperates the cotton from the seeds.
  • Trucks transport the cotton bales to spinning facilities usually in China or India.
  • The cotton is then taken to high-tech places where machines blend, card, comb, pull, stretch and finally twist the cotton. Yarns are then sent to the mill.
  • Huge cirular knitting machines weave them into sheets of rough greyish fabric. They are treated with heat and chemicals to make it soft and white.
  • The cotton is then dipped into different colour dyes and bleaches. the chemicals in these dyes and bleaches have cancerous acids and can give you cancer.
