This view is great!
I need some sort of plan. I can't live my life like this forever.
Hi, Boss. I've been very stressed recently and I am not sure what to do about it.
In need of some stress relief, Jim walks to a nearby scenic lookout over the city. Jim notices his headache has disappeared, and that his head feels clearer. For a moment he can appreciate his surroundings, and focus on things other than his stress.
Ah I see your issue. Here's the plan:
However; as soon as Jim returns to his office; his headache and worries return. Although the walk was a good temporary stress reliever, Jim knows that if he wants to permanently reduce workplace stress, a longer-term solution needs to be put in place.
ONE MONTH LATER
Unsure where to turn, Jim asks his boss how he can reduce his own stress. Jim explains his situation to him, (how he is stressed by his workload and lack of family time) hoping his boss will give him guidance on how to better deal with the stress.
After recognizing the sources of his stress, Jim's boss suggests he partake in a time management program run by Net Design Group. Additionally, Jim's boss suggests a flexible work arrangement: ending the workday early on Monday and Friday so he can go home and spend quality time with his family.
Since talking to his boss, Jim's workplace related stress has significantly decreased. Due to the time management program his boss offered, Jim finds it much easier to complete his tasks on time, thus reducing the stress caused by his workload. Additionally, his flexible work program allowed Jim to overcome his work-life conflict, reducing his stress immensely.
Jim now lives a much happier and work-stress relieved life. THE END
