Storyboard Text

  • Firstly, the young bride would go to sacrifice all of her childhood toys and a lock of hair to the goddess' Aphrodite and Artemis, to show that she was leaving her childhood behind.  
  • Then it was the wedding ceremony, the groom would give the bride a ring and
  • people from the families would bring gifts for the married couple.
  • Then the groom would pick up the bride and put her in a cart, taking her to his home, 
  • Once they arrived he would burn the Axle to show that there was no going back. 
  • There would be a big feast in the grooms household and both members of the family would be invited. 
  • After dinner, the newly wed bride would have a bath, that was meant to clean her sole and enhances her fertility. 
  • Later that night, the new married couple would be locked in a room and their friends would band on the door and shout, 
  • Do Not Enter
  • this was for support and encouragement as the bride was about to loose her virginity.
