Dear Marcus,We have had enough and have QUIT! You don't look after us. We have packed up, moved on and have gone to the new boy in Year 3. He will appreciate us. Pencil is fed up of being blunt. Scissor doesn't like being sticky and Ruler is fed up of being flicked.
It was an ordinary morning at school. Marcus sat at his desk and got his pencil case out ready to start Maths.
I need to find them!
Inside his pencil case there was a letter but no stationery! Where was his pencil? Where was his ruler? His scissors were missing too.
He began to read the letter. It was actually from the stationery. It read: Dear Marcus, We have had enough and have QUIT! You don't look after us. We have packed up, moved on and have gone to the new boy in Year 3. He will appreciate us.
we forgive you
Marcus was annoyed. He had a plan to try and get them back. "Please may I go to the bathroom Miss?" Marcus asked the teacher.
He didn't need the bathroom at all! He went straight to the Year 3 classroom. He peered through the window and spotted the stationery on an empty table. The new boy hadn't arrived yet. When he arrived Marcus made a deal with him. "I'll be your buddy, play with you and help you settle in if you can give me my stationery back.
The boy agreed and Marcus apologised to the stationery. He promised to keep his sharp, his scissors clean and promised to use the ruler for straight lines, not for flicking. They were all happy and worked well together for the rest of the year.
