Not only am I considered a pioneer of Modernism, I am also a pioneer in the design of educational curriculums. As James Daichendt states in "The Bauhaus Artist-Teacher: Walter Gropius's Philosophy of Art Education"; " The Bauhaus was a landmark in the history of modern art and education. The innovative school collectively influenced contemporary art education more than any educational institution. . . His experience and education as an architect greatly influenced and infused his educational approach."
Although I am on the wrong side of history, my architectural capacities should not be judged by that. Many people trusted in my designs, for example in Michael Lewis' periodical "The Architect of the Reich" he states, "When it came to his most visionaryproject, the remodeling of Berlin, Speer washis architect of choice. As of January 1937 he was made Inspector General of Buildings in the Reich Capital. and given virtually unlimited financial resources."
Seriously?! You are a war criminal who betrayed your colleagues and architecture itself! In Steven Semes' article "Albert Speer: Architecture" he describes your work as the following; "Speer’s vision for Berlin could not be farther from the humanism of the classical city represented by Rome... This is not the work of an architect who respectfully places himself in the stream of tradition, but of one who cynically manipulates imagery drawn from the tradition in order to subvert the human values historically embodied by it"
