Romeo & Juliet - Act 4
Alright, here’s the vial. What if this mixture doesn’t work at all?
scene 1 - Juliet and Paris meet at Friar Lawrences cell. Paris then leaves and Friar Lawrence and Juliet talk about how Juliet could get out of marrying - hes gonna give her a vile of liquid that makes her seem dead. He tells Juliet he will send a letter to Romeo letting him know.
Go wake Juliet. Go and get her dressed. I’ll go and chat with Paris. Hey, hurry up, hurry up! The bridegroom is already here. Hurry up, I say.
Scene 2 - Juliet comes back and lies to her parents about why she went and seen Friar Lawrence - she tells them that she went there and learned that it is wrong to disobey her father. She tells them that she will marry Paris.
Oh my, Oh my! My child, my reason for living, wake up, look up, or I’ll die with you! Help, help! Call for help.
Oh, sad day!
Scene 3 - Juliet tells the nurse and Lady capulet to leave so she can get some rest. After they leave she overthinks to herself about what could happen when she drinks the vile.
Scene 4 - Lady capulet and the nurse tells capulet that he needs to go to bed because its late. The serving men come and tell Capulet what they got and Capulet tells them what they need to get. After they leave, Paris arrives and Capulet tells the nurse to wake Juliet up.
Scene 5 - the nurse goes to wake Juliet up and finds out that Juliet is "dead." Everyone is sad and makes a big deal out of it. The friar tells them to get her ready for her funeral.
