I call this meeting to order! I know everyone is fed up with the British
My fellow colonists, Tell us why you are fed up with the British.
Middle of The Meeting
We are fed up because they are charging us taxes for tea.
End Of The Meeting
You know there is a ship full of tea.
We could ruin all of the Tea!
That's a great idea!
Samuel Adams recorded who was at the meeting. They met at the Old South Meeting House. The Boston Committee of Correspondence and the Sons of Liberty organized the meeting. There was thousands of men, women, and children.
The people who attended the meeting were all fed up with the taxes for tea. They wanted to to do something about it. Many people were shouting how the British did them wrong. One shout was that we should shoot British soldiers. That suggestion was turned down quickly.
The colonists were trying to come up with ideas to stop the British from taxing the teas. Then a colonist said that a ship just docked that was full of tea. After that another colonist said we should throw off the tea and ruin it. when the meeting was dismissed the Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indians and headed down to the wharf.
