Odysseus is shown as a hero in the Lotus Eaters because of how powerful he is. His men get addicted to the lotus and he still gets them to leave this land and continue on their journey even though they want to stay.
Odysseus has given the Cyclops liquor to make him pass out. He is now heating the spike so that he can stab Cyclops in the eye. This shows how clever Odysseus is.
Half of Odysseus' men got turned into pigs while everyone else was on the ship. Odysseus went to save them once he found out what had happened. This shows Odysseus is thoughtful and a good leader.
Odysseus and his men were having a hard time staying positive after Scylla ate a lot of his men. He realizes he has to keep their spirits up if they want to survive. This shows how positive of a person he is.
Odysseus made it back home from his 20 year journey. Suitors are trying to take his wife. Odysseus is dressed in disguise so he can surprise the suitors. He then kills the suitors and is reunited with his wife and family. This shows he is loving to his family.
