The process of becoming one is long. including four years of medical school and three years of training in general internal medicine. After this, a cardiologist spends three or more years in specialized training. That’s ten or more years of training!
But that time will be well worth it, because we make up to 416,000 dollars yearly!
Our daily working conditions can get crazy sometimes. We usually spend our days taking in patients and evaluating their worries and changing their lifestyle. Stress is usually high in the office, and have long work hours, up to 50 hours a week!
Now hold on a bit though. There are a few characteristics about being a cardiologist. You need to care for your patients, be patient, and be good at explaining their problems.
Now for the advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages are you are paid a good sum of money for what you do, and the want fro them are growing! however, some disadvantages are the excessive schooling you must take and the dissatisfaction of the job.
