Storyboard Text

  • Hello everybody, I am Cherly. Today I am going to talk about inequality. Do you know inequality? If you do not know, then I will tell you. Inequality is differences in size, degree, circumstances. In short, it is the lack of equality
  • This is a example of inequality through degree.
  • Inequality is one of the goals from UN sustainable development goals. It is the 10th goal. One of the reasons why inequality is a problem is because it can cause the economics to be unbalanced. When the people with higher class seek to receive power and wealth, then the one who will suffer is the people from lower class.
  • Let’s take South Africa as an example. There is a high rate of inequality in South Africa. The reason why inequality is high in South Africa is because most of the household in South Africa doesn’t get an education. Creating the fortunate people in South Africa to act higher than the rest of the African. Causing inequality in aspects such as wealthiness, education, and political inequality.
  • This inequality does not happen only in South Africa. It happens here in Indonesia, and almost everywhere in the world. Inequality could cause war from economic instability, financial crisis, debt and inflation. Those who have wealth below average will surely think they are not treated equally. They could rebel against those with wealth and create their own country.
  • There are already some countries that started to take action towards the inequality that is happening in their country. For example Sweden. Sweden started to changed their policies. Personally, I think the best way to reduce inequality is to manage the society. What I meant by it is to make a new branch of government that watch over the society environment.
  • That is it for me, I hope it gave you information. And make sure to reduce inequality in your daily life too.
