Hello everybody! Today we will be talking about checks and balances and the viewpoints of Anti-federalists and Federalists on ratifying the constitution.
First of all my name in Chesh. Now let us talk about check and balances, checks and balances keep each branch of the government from being more powerful than the others. One example is if Congress passes a bill then the president vetos that bill then the US House of Representatives can override the president's veto then if the US Senate also overrides the president's veto then the bill becomes a law.
Anti-federalists thought that the government would be too strong and would abuse the power so they wanted a bill of rights. Whereas Federalists believe that the constitution limits the power enough and thing that a bill of rights is unnecessary.
