We will wait here till morning then attack.
Oh no, they snuck up on us. Should we wait for reinforcements or fight? I choose to fight.
There where two groups in this battle, the French who where leaded by Marquis de Montcalm, and the British where leaded by Major-General James Wolfe
Brittish VS French
Just before midnight on September 12, 1759 was when they snuck up to the Plains of Abraham. then when dawn broke on September 13 1759 they where seen and the battle started.
The Battle on the Plains of Abraham took place in Quebec on the Plains of Abraham on the cliff top behind the Fortress of Quebec.
Important things that happened 1. The battle for Quebec lasted 3 months 2. They bombarded each other for nine weeks leaving the fortress in rubble. 3. Wolfes ships stretched out 150 kilometers 4. If the French lasted till winter the British would have to retreat 5.The fortress was on a high clifftop that couldn't be surrounded.
Before the Battle 1. The British had to capture Louisbourg to get to Quebec. 2. Before the battle France and British where two of the biggest superpowers. 3. Before the battle New France covered almost all of Canada
After the Battle 1. Montcalm died the day after the war from a punctured lung. 2. They signed a treaty stopping war but giving the British most of new France limiting the french to Miquelon, St. Pierre, and Guadeloupe.
