Storyboard Text

  • In the volcano there is magma, and once it erupts it cools almost immediately outside forming Extrusive Igneous rock like Punice
  • But, inside the volcano the magma cools slower and once it does cool it forms intrusive igneous rocks like Obsidian
  • Whenever the rock gets weathered it gets eroded and carried to the river or ocean and sediments are deposited in the river along with soil
  • Then the sediments are depostied in the bottom of the ocean they are compressed and compacted by the water pressure forming Sedimentary rock
  • Through more pressure and heating the Sedimentary rock turns into Metamorphic rock which looks like layers and layers of minerals
  • And then through even intenser heating and melting it turns back to magma
  • Now, some people might think that rocks don't have different forms but they haven't seen the rock cycle which is pretty cool
