In the Paleolithic Age people were nomads. They hunted for their food and didn't have a stable food supply.
Hunting for food is difficult and dangerous. Sometimes we go to bed hungry.
In the Neolithic Age agriculture and the domestication of animals happened. Now people had a stable food supply and could focus on other things.
We are very lucky to have a stable food supply. Now we don't have to worry about going to bed hungry.
The discovery of agriculture let to towns and cities being built. It also led to trade. Most of the permanent settlements were in the Fertile Crescent.
The main difference between the Paleolithic Age and the Neolithic Age was the discovery of agriculture.
