  • 6 AD. Augustus turns Judah into a Roman province and begins Roman persecution of Jewish people.
  • God is loving, and will forgive your sins!
  • 30-33 AD Jesus travels and preaches in Judea and Galillee.
  • Thanks, Rabbi!
  • 33 AD. Jesus is crucified by the Romans and is believed to be resurrected. St. Peter and St. Paul begin to spread his teachings through the Mediterranean. Christianity emerges as a sect of Judaism.
  • 66 AD. Jewish people of Jerusalem, unhappy with Roman rule, rebel and overwhelm the Roman army there.
  • 132 AD- After re-taking the city and continued persecution, Romans ban Jewish people from living in Jerusalem, causing them to spread throughout Europe and Southwest Asia.
  • 392 AD. After Constantine before him converted, Theodosius makes Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire.
