These men are hunting like all hunter-gatherers do. In order to always have food they need to move a lot, this is called being a nomad. These nomadic people had just bows and arrows made up of whatever they could find. The time period of hunter-gatherers was called the Pallithic Age which began about two million years ago.
this is what we caught
This man is showing the domestication of animals. Of course this didn't take place right away. Men like this man have only just begun learning about this. The time period of this day shown is called the Neolithic Age in about 8000 B.C.E. These people even stopped being so nomadic.
I can't believe it, we grew all of this!
Some reasons are that if you live by the river you can be hydrated, clean, fed - fish, animals by the water. This means you now have a stable food supply yay!!!!! Also since now you don't have to try to get enough things so that you survive you can now get better at one specific job an do even more things that are engaging for you (when I say you mean people in that time).
These men were nomads as I stated before and so they don't need a permanent shelter and tepees are one of those shelters for nomads. As you notice this man was one of the men that caught/killed the lion. These people most likely cooked the animal somewhat like this picture showed.
As you can see in this picture the men are demonstrating agriculture. Agriculture was discovered in the Neolithic Age. These people decided to plant crops and eventually found that planting crops is easier than picking them. For the first time ever these people had control of their food supply.
Another thing that changed was that now people are beginning to trade items like, flint and obsidian. These people were now able to rely on things that are easier to do/find-like trading items. Another improvement is that now they have permanent shelters which also means that they can create communities which will help spread the weight of the work.
