  • Odysseus and his men ran into the Lotus Eaters. The Lotus Eaters immediately started, "offering the sweet Lotus to our friends." The men were tempted, but Odysseus took them to the ship and tied them up.

  • King Aeolus gives Odysseus a bag of wind, and puts it under the after-deck in his ship. However, his crew was tempted and they opened the bag, and it blew them back to the Aeolia.

  • Sirens are, "monsters that cry and sing to bewitch men sailing by. Then they eat the men. The men put wax in their ears so they wont hear them, and tied Odysseus up.

  • Who did this to you?
  • Odysseus lied, and told Polyphemus that his name was Nohbdy. Then, he gave Polyphemus wine to get him drunk.
  • My name is Nohbdy!
  • While Polyphemus was drunk, Odysseus stabbed him in the eye. Then, he yelled for his Cyclops friends for help.
  • Odysseus tricked Polyphemus by making him believe that his name was Nohbdy so that when his friends ask him who did it, it would sound like he's saying, "Nobody did this to me." Therefore, his Cyclops frinds wouldn't think anything of it.
