Storyboard Text

  • What did George Washington hear about?
  • What did he do about it?
  • What happened after the attack?
  • Washington received a message from the Half-King that he had followed the tracks of two men. Which he believed had led him to the forts where the French was hiding out.
  • When he heard about what the Half-King had saw, he immediately sent out 40 men to attack them together. The French discovered them and he commanded his troop to fire.
  • They killed the Commander of the party, nine others, wounded one, and made twenty-one prisoners. The Indians scalped the dead and took away the greater parts of their arms. He was informed that they had been sent with a summons for him to retire.
