Father, an Egyptian rescued us from shepherds; he even drew water from us and watered the flock
Where is he then? Ask him in to break bread
Why are you home so early today?
You should marry my daughter Zipporah.
Moses! Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground
Horeb, mountain of God
The daughters of the priest of Miridian came to draw water, but shepherds came and drove them off. Moses saved the daughters and even watered their flock. Jethro, the father, told the daughters to invite Moses in their house.
I am the God of your father's - the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob
Jethro asked Moses to stay in their household and marry one of his daughters, Zipporah. Moses agreed and Zipporah bore a son whom he named Gershom.
I am mindful of the sufferings of the Israelites. I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians. Come, therefore, I will send you to the Pharoah, and you shall free my people, the Israelites, from Egypt.
One day, while Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, he drove the flock into the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.He saw the burning bush and was amazed by the sight, until God called him out of the bush.
I will be there to guide you in your journey, and so does your brother Aaron.
God introduced himself to Moses and Moses was afraid to look at God.
God has explained to Moses that He wants him to save the Israelites from Egypt. He has tasked him to do things, but Moses was worried because no one might believe him.
What if they do not believe me and do not listen to me?
God has reassured Moses that people will believe him. God also showed Moses his powers. When he casted the rod on to the ground, it became a snake, Moses was also able to make it into a rod again and lastly, when he took his hand out of his cloak, the skin had become white as snow and as he put it back, it restored like the rest of his flesh.
