Storyboard Text

  • Was that a meteor?!
  • I'm not sure, I think so.
  • Oh no!
  • Steve the power is off!
  • The phones don't work either.
  • I'll go see if the other streets have no power too.
  • No ones car will turn on either.
  • You better not go Mr. Brand! They don't want you to
  • Who is they?
  • Maple Street, U.S.A., 6:43 P.M. It was a late September evening when the citizens on Maple Street saw something mysterious fly by in the sky. Steve and Don question the unknown object.
  • It's Steve!
  • It's Tommy!
  • It was you! You're the alien!
  • It's Charlie!
  • All of the sudden, there was no longer power or signal on Maple Street Everyone went frantic and was confused by the unexplainable event. Pete Van Horn goes to the other streets to see what is happening.
  • After Pete Van Horn leaves, Steve volunteers to go downtown and settle everything. Tommy, does not agree with that situation. He thinks that aliens want him to stay. Tommy thinks that there is a secret alien family amongst them.
  • The pattern is always the same.
  • Maple Street is not unique.
  • Even though none of the other cars on the street are working, Les Goodman's car comes on. Everyone starts to blame him and his family for being aliens. Everyone starts placing the blame on others any tries to get it off of themselves. They all try to find a scape goat.
  • It's not me! I didn't do anything!
  • As they see a dark figure approaching, Don panics and grabs his shotgun from the house. Charlie grabs it out of his hands and fires at the figure. He had just killed a neighbor, Pete Van Horn, coming back from the street over. The blaming was just getting started.
  • Two figures appear. If you do something simple, such as turn off a streets connections tot the rest of the world, they all go crazy. The pattern is always the same.
