Maya and her friends were wandering around their town. But then realized mysterious objects all of the ground.
What is all this stuff near our home?
More and more of these mysterious objects are piling up. Maya and her friends are getting worried that this beautiful town will become dirty.
Maya tells Lilly she doesn't feel good. Lilly suggests that all of the trash may be the cause of Maya's bad health.
Hey Lilly, I don't feel so good.
Hey Maya, maybe you have plastic in your stomach. 80% of birds do die from plastic.
Hey mom, maybe we should clean up the town and recycle all of the trash, since animals are getting sick.
Lilly and her mom are going help recycle all of the trash in the town. Since 80% of trash is able to be recycled.
That's a great idea!
There was so much trash the birds had no choice but to leave their habitat. Humans waste about 200,000 tons of trash everyday in the U.S and most of the trash doesn't make it into the recycling bin. It instead ends up in animals habitat's which causes bad things for the animals.
Maya and her friends are now leaving the town of Willow Lakes. In search of a better life without trash.
