Storyboard Text

  • Wow, I am feeling quite light headed and nauseous...
  • oh no! have you eaten much today?
  • ehhhh, I'm fine, I have Type 2 Diabetes. This is normal.
  • No! That means that you are experiencing low insulin levels, your body is struggling to maintain homeostasis.
  • Well...what do I do to fix that?
  • You need to get some food in your system and use your daily dose of insulin so your body can begin negative feedback.
  • once you get insulin into your system the receptors will send a signal to your brain, which is your control center, to start fixing the problem.
  • The control center will send a signal to a chemical known as glucagon to start bringing sugar throughout your body.
  • The effectors will then respond to that glucagon and rise the blood sugar level of your blood, thus causing your nausea and headache to go away.
  • Wow thank you so much, I will get right on that!
