  • "Going away? I hear you fired all your servants. " (114)
  • "No old sport. I wanted someone who wouldn't gossip. Daisy comes over quiet often in the afternoons. (114)
  • "Bles-sed precious. Come to your own mother who loves you." (117)
  • "There's some bad trouble here. Instantly killed." (139)
  • "She ran out in a road. Son-of-a-bitch didn't even stops car." (139)
  • Nick was informed by Mr. Finn that Gatsby had fired all of the servants and replaced them. Nick was confused by the actions of his neighbor which were soon answered. Gatsby did not want there to be gossip about Daisy being at his house.
  • Daisy's child comes out of the room. Gatsby is shocked by what he has seen. Daisy claims that she wanted to show her off, while explaining that she does not look like her father.
  • Gatsby and Daisy are coming back from the city in Gatsby's yellow car. Myrtle comes running out in the middle of the road while Daisy is driving. Daisy never even slowed down, soon hitting Myrtle. Gatsby soon took over, and began driving the car.
