  • OPTIC FIBERS, finally!!!
  • Excuse me, but what worked?
  • The optic fibers actually sent an image!
  • I am Harold Hopkins
  • Oh, thanks, that's really cool!
  • Our experiment. It was to send a coded beam of light down a glass tube and see if the image would show up on the other end... and it did!
  • And I am Narinder Kapany.
  • The Next Day (Present Day Alex's School)
  • You may start Alex.
  • This is my presentation for optic fibres.
  • That was great Alex. I think that deserves a 4!
  • Optical fibres carry information down glass/plastic tubes. This info is then decoded and read on the other side.
  • This lead to many things like lighting, electronic devices, gastroscopes, etc.
  • But, optic fibres are starting to get used for broadcasting, more medical uses, and advanced military uses. THANKS FOR LISTENING!
