Storyboard Text

  • Col. James Boyd and his 600 men set up camp while on the way to Augustus. There they rested, unaware of what might happen.
  • We will set up camp here tonight, and continue on in the morning!
  • Aware that Boyd and his men were near by, Col. Andrew Pickens, Col John Dooly, and Lt. Elijah Clarke along with 340 men were close to invading the camp! 
  • We can attack the Loyalist, and Gain back our land!
  • YEAH!
  • The Patriots tried to sneakily attack. This failed and they ended up battling across the creek.
  • Come on! lets try to catch them by surprise, we don't want to get caught!
  • OK!
  • They fought for around three hours. Even though the patriots were outnumbered, they were doing amazing
  • With their leader not being there to help, many loyalist escaped across the creek to flee the battle scene
  • oh no!!
  • We NEED to get out of here!
  • AND IN THE END, THE PATRIOTS WON! But, 7 militiamen died, and 15 were wounded. However, Boyd and 20 of his men died, and 22 were taken as prisoners. 
  • !VICTORY!
