John F Kennedy was born on May 29,1917, in Brooklin, Massachusetts. He was born and raised in a well Catholic home and the second oldest of 8 siblings.
Birth & Family
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 which he then lost his older brother Joe Jr. in 1944 who also served in the Navy. Later in 1953, Kennedy married Jaqueline Bouvier and soon started a family with two kids.
Early Life & Marriage
In his inagural address, on January 20, 1961, the new president called his fellow Americans to work together in the hope of progress and the rid of poverty. His high hopes were in the progress whle the Cold War was taking place as well.
In July 1963, Kennedy won his greatest foreign affairs victory when Khrushchev agreed to join him and Britain's Prime Minister to signing a nuclear test ban treaty. But, Kennedy was still to overcome conflict with Vietnam.
Leadership at Home
During his first year in office, he would send young volunteers to underdeveloped countries all over the world. he was forced into action to send federal troops to support the desegregation of the University of Mississippi. Kennedy became an icon while during his term.
On November 22, 1963, Mr. president was in Dallas, Texas being transported to the Dallas Trade Mart. Just around 12:30 the Presisdent was struck twice, in the neck and head, and was soon pronounced dead after arriving to the hospital.
