A theory in how humans came to be is that humans are descendants of now extinct primates. We share a common ancestor with some species of primates.
The Earliest know form of shoes were Sandals, they were simplistic and used to protect the feet from rocks. This was humans form of adapting to our environment
During the Middle ages new methods were created in order to make shoes more effective. Shoes also became a symbol for social status, showing wealth.
By the end of the 18th century shoe making became mostly mechanized and shoe making became more commercialized by small manufacturers
There are many different types of shoes nowadays for different activities. Also shoes have influenced many different cultures throughout the years as well as making apperances in folklore.
