This scene shows how right from the start they knew they needed to find other people for help to get off the island
We need to find other people
We need to build a fire to signal to boats and planes that we are here
They knew that they had to get off the island so they built a fire to get people's attention. they had hope and cared about leaving at this time.
Jack and the Choir boys start to have other objectives than getting off the island. They Become obsessed with Hunting and Killing Pigs
We need to hunt Pig!!!
We need to Make a signal fire and Shelter!!!
They play a game where Robert is the pig and they have to "kill" him. They get carried away and almost actually kill him> This shows that they are becoming less civilized.
Now lets "kill" Robert!!
YAY we Killed a Pig!
After the boys split up, Jack's group put a pig's head on a stick to show that they have the power and that's what will happen if you cross them. At the beginning of the book they boys wouldn't have done this.
We have the power now!
At the end when Roger kills Piggy Intentionally and Jack tried to kill Ralph, it shows that they are completely uncivilized and will kill someone just because they don't agree on things.
