on the 21st, McDowell decided to attack and at first the union looked to have the upper hand because they pushed the south to Henry Hill
The Union marchd toward Henry Hill and then attacked the Confederates at the river crossing called BullRun
The Confederacy recieved reinforcement. with the help of people like Stonewall Jackson
when the union retreated it was a total chaos. They threw there weapons and supplies down and panicked then ran away. The generals had no control on there retreat.
