Storyboard Text

  • Good Evening Sir, How did you feel about the court case?
  • No court case has ever lasted for that long before in a black and white duel. There may be some changes in racial attitudes over the years to come if we all stand up for what is right and persevere this achievement.
  •  why did you feel obligated to defend the Negro, Tom Robinson?
  • We all know the truth that Tom Robinson Never Raped Ewell. If I had not defended that innocent Negro, I would never have been able to live with myself and I would never have been able to face my children again.
  • Speaking of your children, there are many folks out there who say you don’t look after your children well enough. What do you have to say about those folks?
  • Well, those folks can certainly think whatever they want, but I try my best with them. Most of all, I make sure that I show enough respect to them so they can respect me too.
  • Atticus, why did you choose to defend Tom Robinson?
  • I chose to defend Tom Robinson because I value equality. I believe everyone is equal and that skin colour should not define who someone is.
  • Did you think that Tom Robinson had a chance of winning this case?
  • No, once a black man or women is accused for a crime by a white man or women it is always in the white man or woman's favor because here in Maycomb we do not have equal rights
  • Do you feel bringing Alexandra to Maycomb was the right decision?
  • Both of my kids learned a lot from her and she taught them things that I couldn't
