Later on into Siddhartha's life he went to live in the forest with the ascetics for six years. During that time he became famished and dehydrated, a woman sees Siddhartha in distress and tends to his needs.
Siddhartha had then reached the middle path, but he had netrayed his followers, the ascetics for not keeping his word. Siddhartha had tried to explain to them what the middle path was but they only left in anguish and distrought
From there he finds the middle path. Which then had brought him to the awakening under the Bhodi Tree, leading him to the path of enlightment.
