A good listener is attensive. They make eye contact. They don't interrupt what the other person is saying. They show interest in the topic. They don't look over the shoulder of the speaker
Don't check your phone or tablet during a conversation. It is very rude and makes people think you are not listening to them or have more important things to do.
Wait until the speaker is done speaking before you put in your two sense. Once you are able to be kind don't show rude character. Don't fidget, or look away from the speaker.
Don't hurry the speaker to end the conversation but instead asks good questions to keep it going. Don't try to predict what they are going to say and have an open mind. A good listener cares and shows enpathy
