Characterization in The Crucible
This storyboard does not have a description.
" John - I am watin' for you every night." ( pg. 469, line 530)
" Abby, I never give you hope to wait for me" ( pg. 469 line 540)
"I have sense for heat, John and yours has drawn me to my window, and I have seen you looking up, burning in your loneliness. Do you tell me you've never looked up at my window" ( pg.470 line 560)
In this example Abigail is at John Proctors farm telling him how she feels, and that she waits for him every night. She means by this quote that she wants him to know she is waiting for her. Also she wants to know if he still has feelings for her also.
Here, John Proctor is trying to get Abigail to realize that he has gave her no hope or reason to wait for him. He wants her to realize that he doesn't want her to wait for me. Also he just wants to get the memo across to her that he doesn't like her anymore and she needs to move on.
In this example, Abigail is trying to prove to John that she knows he still has feelings for her. She wants him to understand that she has seen him looking up at her window at her. Also she just wants the truth and she is trying to prove it
