Storyboard Text

  • Nicolaus Capernicus is a scientist born on February 19, 1473 in Toruń Poland.
  • I wonder how outer space looks like?
  • Capernicus made a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe.
  • what if we've been lied to this whole time and that the earth isn't the center, its the sun?
  • Capernicus studied all night and day to prove his discovery even if it defied the church and people didn't believe him. But in the end Capernicus proved his theory and convinced the people.
  • old view: That the Earth was the center of the universe and that everything revolved around it. This theory was called Geocentric.
  • new view: That the The Earth revolved around the sun, which was the center. Not earth. This theory was called heliocentric.
  • Capernicus discovery made a huge contribution to the Scientific Revolution and helped influence the age of exploration. His ideas are still true to today and play a humongous act in today's time and in the past.
