  • South- We want to count all slaves in population but don't want to be taxed!
  • North- We don't want slaves to be counted in the population.
  • We agree to count three out of every five slaves toward state population and for taxation.
  • The Three-Fifths Compromise is established and decided that a slave would be counted as three-fifths of a person.
