  • Mary has been waiting for a while for Patrick to arrive back home after being at his work as she does every night.She sat on the arm chair doing some sewing.Then she heard the car tires on the stones in the front yard and laid her sewing aside.Then he came into the living room and was acting very strange.
  • Climax
  • Mary and Patrick have had a little drink but before that Mary knew Patrick wasn't being himself.He stood up and started to explain that he was leaving,she was not yet crying because she hadn't yet realised what he had just sad.She asked him if he wanted a lamb for dinner and he just groaned.
  • Falling Action
  • Mary Malony then walks through to the kitchen to get the lamb out of the fridge.Whilst Mary is doing that she notices the Patrick is looking out the living room window.
  • Resolution and Dencument
  • Once Mary Malony had got the lamb out of the fridge she walked very quietly towards the living room without Patrick noticing.Once she had made her way out of the kitchen she crept towards Patrick still with the leg of lamb in her hand she got behind him and before she noticed what she was doing she hit him over the head with the leg of lamb.
  • She then invites the police over to her house and pretends that she had came back from the shop and found him lying there dead.At this point she had the leg of lamb in the oven.
  • The police stay at Mary Maloneys house for hours to investigate the murder.Mary Maloney then suggests that they have the leg of lamb that she had cooked for dinner so they ate it up.
