  • Inhumane camps in Cuba!!!!
  • U.S.S Maine blows up
  • McKinley tries to keep the peace
  • He is sooo weak.
  • If you guys don't give Cuba independence, we are blowing you guys up..
  • Newspapers in Cuba exaggerated things of the reconsentraition camps.Even though they were totally inhumane,they were not bad
  • United States demands to Spanish
  • The U.S.S Maine blew up and 250 sailors died. The U.S blamed on Spanish. Citizens wanted war
  • Treaty of Paris
  • Peace and Cuban Independence!!
  • President McKinley caught a letter from the Spanish ambassador calling him weak. After the bombing and that, he still wanted peace.
  • Territory gained
  • Guam!
  • Puerto Rico!!
  • 1. A truce in Cuba. 2.The compensation for the blown up ship. 3.Cuban Independence. 4. The end of the concentration camps All were accepted except for the the last one.
  • Then so be it, we will NOT give Cuba independence.
  • The treaty of Paris stated that Cuba got their independence, the United states got Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. The senate ratified the treaty in 1899.
  • The U.S gained the territories that would not be states, but territories of the United States.
  • The Philippines!!
