  • And Troy is far away
  • Long ago in Ithaca there lived a king named Odysseus, his wife Penelope, and their newborn son, Telemachus. 
  • Mentor
  • Just say no 
  • I promise to always  keep you safe and out of danger.
  • Meanwhile, Odysseus gets commanded by the King of Sparta to fight in the land of Troy.
  • Departure
  • Odysseus refuses to accept the journey, not wanting to leave Penelope and  Telemachus. Knowing that Troy is far away, he thinks it will take too long and refuses to go. 
  • Test
  • Athena-goddess of wisdom, crafts, and war-promises to protect Odysseus from danger during the journey.
  • Odysseus comes to a conclusion that he's going to try to conquer the creatures and decides to leave. He leaves the war and begins the travel towards the islands.  
  • Odysseus encounters many enemies and dangerous creatures, but these events make him stronger.
