  • All these protests and activism, but I don't see Native Americans fighting for our rights. This needs to change.

  • I propose that we form an American Indian Movement Patrol group, to monitor police interaction with Indians around Minneapolis, so we can protect our people from injustice
  • Dennis Banks, a Native American man from the Chippewa or Anishinaabe tribe, was a founder of the American Indian Movement. From 1967-1968, Banks began thinking about resistance efforts while he was imprisoned for a parole violation.
  • One of our biggest concerns right now is the police harrassment and targeting of Native Americans
