Storyboard Text

  • Where are the ladies? We'll be proceeding with the pageant in a few minutes. They shouldn't have left without asking permission.
  • No need to apologise. In America, punctuality is important to us. I realised i haven't really gotten to personally know you. Is it okay for me to give handshakes?
  • We apologise. We didn't know we had to ask permission.
  • "Filipino time" is a norm in which we often do not follow the said time.
  • So Ms. Myanmar, what does your culture say about handshakes?
  • How about in the Philippines?
  • And for Colombians?
  • What about you, Ms. Scotland?
  • We are very tactile people so handshakes are encouraged.
  • We usually do cheek-to-cheeks but handshakes are not discouraged.
  • Hands can be touched but not our heads because it is the most sacred part of our body.
  • Handshakes are not very common but can still be used when a woman greets another woman.
  • As you all know, this is the crown that you may win at the end. To be able to win that -- Is there a problem Ms. Myanmar?
  • I'm so sorry. We often point as we make important points in the conversation. Thank you for clearing that out.
  • Pointing with an index finger is considered rude and aggressive but it's alright, Ms. Louise.
  • I don't usually mind conversations but Clarissa pouted her lips to my direction which caught my attention. I didn't mean to but I overheard her talking with Mariana about something that offended me.
  • I have a concern. Would it be okay for me to say it?
  • Can you clear this out, Clarissa and Mariana? We don't tolerate any drama here.
  • Sure, Pola. Go ahead.
  • I noticed how Pola put her finger on her nose and it seemed like she was picking. We both find it disrespectful so we talked about how it bothered us.
  • But Pola, you shouldn't be the only one offended here. I saw how you judged my cultural dress as if it was trash.
  • Ladies! Listen to me.
