Hi, I'm Jem!
In this story, this shows the event of the presents showing up in the tree hole by the Radley house and how Nathan filled the hole with cement.
Hello! I'm Scout!
And I'm Boo Radley
"Two live oaks stood at the edge of the Radley lot (pg.44)." On her way home from school, Scout finds a tree by the Radley lot that has candy and presents hidden in it each time she returns.
Scout would be let out of school in 30 minutes before Jem, so this is where her gap of time came where she used to pass the tree and collect the items in the tree. "Released from school thirty minutes before Jem (pg.44)."
Jem and Scout decided to send a letter saying their thanks for the presents in the tree, but the next morning they wake up to some interesting news about the tree.
"We appreciate everything which you have put into the tree for us (Jem pg. 82)."
"Someone had filled our Knot-hole with cement (pg. 83)." This was the news that was delivered to Scout, so Jem went up to Nathan and asked him if he had filled the hole, he said,"Tree's dying. You plug em' with cement when they're sick."
Now the tree is filled with cement, no more presents have shown up, no reply to their letter had come back, and the mystery still remains on who was really leaving the gifts in the tree.
