I have always been confused as of where I am from. Am I from Venezuela, Germany, China, the US?
I have blonde hair, and brown eyes. I look more like my dad, who is from Germany. Yet, when I say I am from Venezuela, people look at me in confusion.
Where am I from?
Some people assume I can't speak Spanish.
I have learned to accept it.
"Hola, como estas?"
"Hello! How are you?"
As I grew up, I finally understood that where I am from, is everywhere. Living around the world has shaped who I am, due to all the cultures I have experienced.
"Ready for our next adventure?"
I could say I'm unique. But everyone is a mix of cultures. Coming from a latin background, family is very important to me.
Coming from a German background, my dad has always shown me that confidence in a person is important and to express oneself without fear of being judged.
As I have traveled the world, met people with different background, cultures and experiences, I have come to realize that my identity and who I am, is formed due to where I have lived, and the people that have inspired and influenced me.
